Shatter Me by: Tahereh Mafi

             Okay, I HAVE to say it.... Shatter Me Shattered Me(;
Shatter Me (Shatter Me, #1)

Synopsis from Goodreads:
Juliette hasn’t touched anyone in exactly 264 days.

The last time she did, it was an accident, but The Reestablishment locked her up for murder. No one knows why Juliette’s touch is fatal. As long as she doesn’t hurt anyone else, no one really cares. The world is too busy crumbling to pieces to pay attention to a 17-year-old girl. Diseases are destroying the population, food is hard to find, birds don’t fly anymore, and the clouds are the wrong color.

The Reestablishment said their way was the only way to fix things, so they threw Juliette in a cell. Now so many people are dead that the survivors are whispering war– and The Reestablishment has changed its mind. Maybe Juliette is more than a tortured soul stuffed into a poisonous body. Maybe she’s exactly what they need right now.

Juliette has to make a choice: Be a weapon. Or be a warrior.

  REVIEW:

This book is AMAZING. I'm going to be honest, the writing could have been better. However, the author had a really GREAT IDEA and she did make it pretty much perfect. I think the only thing I would change is the main character, Juliette. Sometimes I understand her tears of joy, and sometimes I find them ridiculous. A bit too much self-pity if you ask me.

I really loved the romance aspect. In most cases I would have said this was another case of insta-love, but I would not really say that here because I feel it was warranted; this girl has been treated like trash all her life and finally someone looks at her as an equal, if I were her I would be the obsessive type as well. I also understand Adam for reasons that he explains later in the book.

I have to note that I also really adore the title, at first I found it strange but by the end I felt like I was part of an "insider". I also liked the way some of her thoughts were marked out in the book, it made it EVEN MORE SPECIAL!

Over all this book was beautiful. It is officially my new favorite book, which says a lot because it has been Willow by: Julia Hoban for over three years.

5/FIVE STARS! (:
